About us

A passion for tool expertise

Alfra (Rittal Automation Systems) manufactures and sells electrical devices and tools for punching and drilling materials from 0.8 to over 100 millimetres thick.

Are you looking for a strong partner for your tasks in metal construction, control cabinet construction or for lifting and adjusting loads? Then let us convince you of our developments from the capital of motorsport. Hockenheim is one of two locations in Germany where we produce quality "Made in Germany".

Our engine: team performance for the customer. The fuel: passion. Thats why our dealer network ensures that Alfra products make users in more than 120 countries happy.

More than holes and metal chips – the Alfra company history

At the beginning of the 20th century new standards of metalworking changed the German economy. A.H Mehring took his chance and founded our later sister company, Sägen-Mehring in Dresden. After World War 2, Gerhard Döring took over. Under his leadership Sägen-Mehring GmbH moved to Hockenheim. The city in northern Baden-Wuerttemberg is the location for our administrative headquarter today.
